Design scheme of intelligent battery for track detection instrument
Citation: (key words: 18650 lithium battery, intelligent battery) due to the rapid development of lithium battery in recent years, many portable products use the voltage measurement value to estimate the remaining battery power, but the relationship between battery voltage and the remaining battery power will change with the discharge rate, temperature and the aging degree of the battery, and the maximum error rate of using this method can reach 50%. Due to the increasing market demand for products with longer service life, more accurate solutions are needed in design. Using IC to measure the charge or consumption of battery will provide more accurate battery power estimation in a wide range of application power levels.
1、 Design requirements for intelligent battery of testing instrument:
According to the requirements and specifications of customers, design the smart battery pack matched with the host, integrate the smart electricity meter with communication protocol (SBS communication protocol) and the battery safety protection performance into your solution, so as to achieve the information sharing between the battery pack and the host, and finally achieve a reasonable, efficient and safe battery management scheme.
The specific design parameters are as follows:
1) Requirements for electric core modeling: imported Sanyo Electric core combination (18650-4s4p / 8.8ah / 12V) is adopted.
2) Structural design requirements: the appearance is exquisite, and the overall battery meets the requirements of waterproof and shockproof. In the aspect of appearance design, it adopts high-grade aluminum alloy shell + aviation waterproof plug.
3) Circuit design requirements: accurate power management + accurate LED power display. The design of SBS intelligent battery management system is adopted to effectively manage the remaining battery power at all times. Accurate LED power display can effectively display the remaining battery power to the user in the form of LED lights according to the accurate percentage, so as to achieve the purpose of high efficiency and intuition.
2、 Design scheme of intelligent battery for testing instrument:
1) Aluminum alloy shell and aluminum support: according to the customer's requirements, the exquisite aluminum alloy shell is designed to meet the waterproof and shockproof requirements, as well as the good heat dissipation requirements under high current operation.
2) Intelligent electricity meter protection board (PCM): the SBS intelligent battery management system is used to calculate the battery power accurately and timely by using the advanced electricity calculation principle, and report the battery power information to the host computer through SMBus at all times, and protect the rechargeable intelligent battery pack (generally referred to as lithium battery). Due to the chemical characteristics of lithium battery itself, it needs to provide overcharge Over discharge, short circuit, over-current, over temperature and other protection functions to avoid combustion, explosion and other hazards.
3) LED electric quantity display board: LED electric quantity display light displays the battery capacity calculated by the intelligent electric quantity meter protection board at all times according to the electric quantity proportion of 20%, so as to facilitate the efficient and intuitive use of customers.
4) Over current protection chip (PTC): mainly designed for secondary protection function. PTC restorable fuse has the function of over-current protection and automatic recovery. PTC in battery products can prevent high temperature discharge and unsafe high current.

6) Special vacuum waterproof aviation plug: Vacuum waterproof connection is adopted outside the battery to meet the waterproof requirements of customers
7) Waterproof LED label
